Caught You Being Good Tickets
I completely owe this idea to my fifth-grade instructor. I don't call up a lot from uncomplicated schoolhouse, but I Do remember this.
"Caught you Being Adept," Tickets:
I can still "see," what her tickets looked like, and I can STILL remember how amazingly awesome it was to receive a "Defenseless y'all Existence Good," ticket.
So what are they?
Well, every one time in a while… maybe once or twice a calendar week… she would give us "tickets," if she saw u.s.a. behaving well.
So for example:
- Our desks were clean, when we left for music grade, then she surprised us by giving us ane ticket.
- We went all calendar week without getting in problem, so she surprised us on Fri past giving us a ticket.
- We were sharing with our neighbour… you become the gist.
…and and so on.
Then… about once a calendar month, nosotros (as students) would be able to "buy" goodies out of the "Caught you Being Good," treasure breast, with our tickets. It was absolutely 1 of the most exciting things in 5th class. 🙂
So the other day, I thought to myself:
Why couldn't I do this with my kids at dwelling house?
I'm always looking for a positive parenting tip to encourage good behavior for my kiddos. And just like that… it hit me. "Caught you being good," tickets.
I totally made it happen, and I want to share it with you likewise.
The beautiful affair about this, is that it volition have a full surprise factor, and volition merely be handed out randomly. (Win-Win for us moms, because adding another thing to our schedules just don't sound like the virtually fun, right!? So we tin do it whenever we retrieve of it, or whenever we feel like information technology!)
It volition also always be in the dorsum of my kiddos' heads, that they may desire to be good {ahem, and not push their brother downwardly} considering then they may loose their take chances at getting a ticket.
I will at present have a treasure chest of small-scale petty trinket "goodies," and about once a month, my kiddos can turn their tickets in for treasures! Eeeeek! I feel similar I'one thousand in fifth grade once again, and I'm only as excited as my kids are! 😉
